I like standing up straight and sometimes swaying, clubbing, alternative modes of transport. I am very anti-globalisation. And hot dogs. I like hot dogs. And other buildings and people who will talk to me. I am your Arts Tower!
Anyone who will be my friend. I find it hard to get into clubs and meet people, so please, add and chat. I am more than willing to chat. And I'd like to meet an American skyscraper. And the Shipley Clock Tower, which I hear is under threat of dismantlement! This is disgusting, as it is the love of my life. Have you been inside me? I'd like to know. The same goes for musicians who have had their photo taken in front of me. Especially if you, at the time, were looking up, wistfully, as if were intellectual.
I like Warp record releases, Welsh-language indie-pop of the 1990s (i.e. Ankst records) and The Long Blondes, who once filmed a video inside me! In fact, I have been in so many band photos, I am probably one of the most famous musicians in Sheffield. Apart from Def Leppard, obviously.
I like 50s disaster films. The Towering Inferno, particularly. I hope to recreate that one day. I am often exposed to great intellectual thought. Did you know, inside me you can study things such as the Bible and Soviet literature? Yes, the Biblical Studies department is really high up, so you can be closer to God!!!1
I've quite enjoyed the recent series of Skycops, set in Sheffield. Although, I have to admit I have at times been worried about Yankee 99 (police helicopter in programme) flying into me. That would be sick (bad).
I've been reading a lot of P.K. Dick recently, and have been rediscovering the works of Evelyn Waugh, especially 'Brideshead Revisited'. It is well 12th floor (Philosophy).
I support the Queen and people who do it themselves. But don't build a building yourself. That can be dangerous.
