The Basement Ape

Started off in a group called Miyamoto who were ace and from Rotherham ( those two words rarely share the same sentence), did occasional bits imbetween and before. I have gigged with Papamofoman, and am currently embarking on an expedition in sonic assasination with 'Plush and Plastix'. 'ATOMIC TANGERINE' is what it says on the tin; samples of Atomic Rooster, Tangerine Dream, Spacemen 3 and some funk, plus a drum beat courtesy of Beastie Boys, and good dose of moog and guitar.'SWEET SISTER FUNK' has the usual sample of The Jackson Sisters 'I Believe in Miracles', plus a bit of MC Wildski,s version of the late eighties, also several other samples including a massive chunk of Funk courtesy of Jimmy McGriff from his album 'Red Beans' (cheers Papamofoman). 'INCONCEIVABLE' is a tune i've had in my head for ages, and finally done yet another ropey tune out of it. It's basically a rant about being stuck in a little flat in Sheffield, just tongue in cheek really. 'MOOGAMOTO' is a little ditty i've had for ages, and have updated it a bit, if anyone has any ideas for lyrics, please let me know!. 'THE APE INVASION' is my take on the Adam and the Ants classic, and 'WORK TO LIVE' is my attempt at doing a tune that might fit in with P&P, but i think it works in it's own right mebbez..... ..
