The Raynor Lounge is just a room, but only in the same way that Sheffield is just a city. We know that that is not the case and it's what fills a space that makes it what it is. Over the next few months we will be filling a small part of Sheffield with a big part of what makes Sheffield amazing.
These nights are not just about the music of this fair and steely city, they're about the creativity, the magic which is created in our little hillside hideaway.
THE RAYNOR SESSIONS are a collaboration with a number of pioneering Sheffield folk, whether they be bands, labels, shops or just ace people. Over the next few months, and into next year if this works, we will be bringing you some fantastic, some eclectic, some fancy and some downright silly fun and we plan to enjoy every moment of it!
We launched on Wednesday 18th October with a special performance from Sheffield's Tiny Dancers, a phenomenal band whose rise to fame has only just begun, with a line up selected by them of Slow Club & Lennie, it was aceness!
These gigs are held at a students union but we welcome all and anyone with a few quid left to their name can enjoy the wonderfully priced £1.95 Grolsch & Strongbow or a bottle of wine for £6.50!
