write a song ... join a band ... start a scene

About Me

Basically, I have a dream, Martin Luther King style, and its all about equality. Hands up if you are in a band? Okay, good. Now keep your hand up if you've never been screwed over by some promotor, who probably never even heard your music, but wanted to use it to make money? Exactly!

Now, it seems to me, if you want gigs in this world, you can either let someone else put them on, work your butt off to sell 25 tickets to your mates, and get paid nothing, or... you could put on the gig yourself, charge less for tickets, need to sell less, and yet still make more money? Plus, you could have your mates bands playing at the gigs, plus you would get to know the venue owners waaaay better, plus it would be more relaxed, plus you could choose who went on first, etc, etc

DIYsheffield is about creating a scene.

DIYsheffield is about making friends, and making music.

DIYsheffield is a new creation. Still a baby right now, but let's hope it becomes more.
