To all my fans and friends:: On my birthday of 2006 I thought my music career was over. That was the day my label, my management and even some of my friends stopped calling me. It was one of the worst days of my life. Fast forward to just a little over a year later, it's April 22, 2008 and the new Tantric album THE END BEGINS is out in stores today, we're on tour, and our song is quickly climbing the charts [number 17] It is one of the happiest days of my life. TANTRIC is alive and well.
After an unbelievably successful platinum debut album, and during the promotion of their second record, Tantric had to endure the demise of its record label (Maverick), plus numerous personal trials and tribulations.
TANTRIC is back with a new lineup and a new outlook on life and music. Vocalist, Hugo Ferreira, welcomes a talented group of new musicians -Kevin Miller from Fuel & Fosterchild on drums, Joe Pessia on guitar, Erik Leonhardt (also of labelmates, Fosterchild) on bass, & a most unusual new addition to the fold - Marcus Ratzenboeck on violin. Ferreira's signature deep vocals and Tantric's unique rock sound are set to shake the foundations of alternative and active rock radio in 2008, with their upcoming release, "The End Begins" on Silent Majority on 4/22/08.
