More than a musician and interpreter, He is an artist agent, composer and producer, not only of his own projects but also other’s that arrive to his hands, form other newborned artists in rising careers.Rui Correia, born in Rabo de Peixe, comes from a family also connected to the music world.His father, António Vicente, was a musician and, later, a bandmaster of the Philharmonic Band Progresso do Norte, at the same Village. His mother, Inês Correia, animated for several years, balls and popular events, borrowing her singular voyce. Rui Correia’s experience is based on his long time carreer, through several stages, and backstage work when requested to produce or organize shows. His passion for music started at his 12 years old, when started to learn theorics and instrumental at Philharmonic Band Lira do Norte in Rabo de Peixe. In 1995 founded Top Rimas, a band he kept activated for 4 years, participating in several shows and contests of modern music. While producing and promoting shows, also is some local bands and artist’s agent, when borns R. C. produções. In 2005 starts his solo career has a singer of his own themes, investing his creativity. Recorded several projects, wich some singles reached to higher positions on some Azorean radio’s Top Music, specialy at the Central Group of Islands.At public shows, his repertory wins echo, as some songs immortalized by foreign artists, specifically brasilian ones. Who watches a Rui Correia’s shows has the privilege to attempt to a parade of feelings, traditionaly romantic, where love assumes an overweight position.November 2005 – Publishes a CD-Single “Sentimentos” (feelings), his original.November 2006 – Gets to the radio the single “Amar” (to love), his original.December 2006 – Participates at Natal dos Hospitais, an yearly important show that occurred at the Divino Espirito Santo Hospital in Ponta Delgada and forwarded by tv channel RTP-Açores in real time, and RTP-Internacional (International Portuguese Channel). Rui Correia participated with one of his original themes “Quero te dizer”, brought to public for the very first time, for what he invited three musicians. At keys he had Mário Jorge Raposo, on flute had Luís Senra and Natalina Ferraz ..o. Over 2006 Rui Correia was interviewed by some media, specialy the interview published by the magazine Revista Atlantida, on September; and at Bom Dia Açores (Good Morning Azores), a tv program presented by Pedro Moura, the journalist.January 2007 – Rui Correia is intervewed in Rádio Lumena, São Jorge Island, at Manhãs do Triângulo Tv Show, that covers the three Islands: Pico, Faial and S. Jorge, also forwarded via Internet. In March Rui Correia wins the first position on The Top Ten requested songs on Rádio Lumena with the theeme “Amar”. The day after, another of his singles gets the second position at the same Top Ten, and now that happens with his song “Quero te dizer”. Rui Correia borrows his voyce to a publicity spot for the Radio Lumena and he is the author of song and lyrics of “Voz do triângulo”. Rui Correia publishes a new single name “Você é fogo”. Sidónio Betencourt invites Rui Correia to be intervewed at Inter-ilhas show on RDP-Açores. On that day was heared for the fist time the new theeme “Conta-me”. In April, the song “Você é fogo” gets in to the nineth position of the Top Ten more requested songs at Radio Lumena, and gone up to the 5th place in May. That’s when “Amar” and “Você é Fogo” were the theemes brought to the azorian tv show Café Central, followed by an interview about his solo career. In October ocourred the launche of Rui Correia’s album called In(completo) in a party at Vila de Rabo de Peixe, with an auddience composed by about 000 people. On November, with his daughter, rui Correia publishes a CD-Single, Nesta noite de Natal, this time at O Aquário, a pub located on Vila da Povoação. In December, side by side with his daughter, Andreia Correia, paticipates at Natal dos Hospitais in Ponta Delgada.PUB:
