About Me

Independent, motivated, confident, progressive, silly, dorky. Passionate about everything I do. My greatest successes have been from taking tremendous risks.
I want to enjoy the journey here and make meaningful connections along the way. I think modesty is underrated. I believe boredom is a choice. Apathy drives me insane ... be part of something greater than yourself. Success isn't necessarily measured by a resume or a bank account. The phrase "self-fulfilling prophecy" gives me the hebegebees. I have the greatest admiration for people that work hard and overcome hardships.
Sometimes I tie my shoes in a double knot, I rarely accessorize and often I dress inappropriately for formal events.
On October 12, 2008 I ran the Westchester County Medical Center Half Marathon in White Plains, NY in honor of the life of Lori Losowski. It was a beautiful run along the historic Bronx River Parkway. Lori was an amazing woman -- a nurse, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend to everyone who met her. Her sister, Lisa, brother-in-law, Joe, and friends set up a memorial fund to help Lori's husband and kids .
The Carlsbad Marathon is coming up in January. Hellz yeah I'm runnin' it!
And I'm running this one in April, sans shoes.

• Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body

• Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech

• Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes

• Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination

• Sudden severe headache with no known cause

Please learn the warning signs and if you notice one or more of these signs call 911 or emergency medical services and get to a hospital right away! Stroke is a medical emergency!

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
~ George Bernard Shaw
