About Me

About my nick... Back in the day, a co-worker heard me rhyme. He said my freestyle needed work, but that I had the rythm and voice. He thought for a moment and said, "Mike-A-Million". This was when the only white rapper was Mr. Van Winkle, so, I was "one in a million".
Flashforward to today, I've still got a lot of the voice left. My focus, for "performance entertainment" purposes, is more on voiceovers and perhaps some acting, but it would still be nice to cut a CD. Pull some of it back to some real oldschool, i.e. KRS-1, or perhaps another vocal style. In any case, I would have to get some vocal training/practice in order to pursue it. As for any acting, that would be a sweet joy for me. Don't be fooled, it takes a lot to be an actor. Explain? Okay. Visualize being able to suck out your own bone marrow to get to your soul. Now put it on screen in an engaging way!
Another joy of mine is writing. In junior college, I wrote a short play, short stories, etc:. Now, yeah, I know, "Junior College, Mike?". All I can say is what the rappers say, "I got skills.". ;=)
Will I ever use any of these developed skills , or will I have to develop others, to succeed?
We'll see what happens...

"Flowers to"; Shakira, Jewel, Christina Applegate, Shannen Doherty, Rachel True, Salma Hayek, Drew Barrymore, Princess Stephanie, Shenaz, Kelly Choi, Debbie Harry, Siouxsie of Siouxsie and The Banshees
"Shout-Outs" to: Whodini, Run-DMC, KRS-1, Adam Ant, Billy Idol, Africa Bambataa, Kool Hurk, Fab 5 Freddie, Luciano Pavarotti, Jet Li, Sean Connery, Billy Dee Williams- (a true 007!), Vincent D'Onofrio, Chris Walken, Nick Mancuso, Keifer Sutherland, The DJ's from WLIR/WDRE, The Rat Pack/Sammy Davis Jr., Gene Kelly, Gregory Hines, Bruce Lee, Jackie Gleason, and The Nicholas Brothers!
My belief is that our world is at a crossroads:
Our planet is deathly ill with climate change and pollutants; we carry the legacy of greedy industrialists, corporations, and politicos who have done systematic destruction of our world for quarterly reports, power and profit; governments care more about lotteries than their citizens well-being; terrorism coupled-with corruption and crime kills people in parts of the world that most haven't heard of, as well as right next door.
However, things can be solved; it is up to each individual bravely acting alone, yet as part of a collective group of concerned world-citizens, to be civilized, respectful, compassionate and empathetic towards others and our "homeworld". We all must stand out individually as we stand together collectively, and just do the right thing...

Why do I admire the James Bond character, as played by Daniel Craig, so much? Bond was an orphan as a child, he went to better schools by blessing of a mysterious patron, (Was it "M"?), and was always left to his own devices. The only other fantasy character that comes close is Batman, as played by Christian Bale.
