About Me

I'm a gay guy living in New York City. I'm rather mellow, down to earth and have been told I'm a very nice guy. I would like to think of myself as someone with a strong character; respectful and honorable. I have a very good sense of humor and I'm very loyal to friends and family.

I have lots of interests: Music, movies, books, soccer, Japanese tattooing and Bushido, walking around Manhattan and cooking. I'm a simple person: no frills, pretense or BS.

I am a reggae DJ and I'm always looking for a place to spin. I play old school reggae and ska; stuff from the 1960's-70's.

I can be a homebody or I can go out and be social. I like a balance of both. I'm a night owl either way. I'm a little shy at first, once I warm up to someone, I can be quite talkative.

My Interests

Music, movies, books, hanging out with friends, DJing (Tribe of Judah Sound System). I am a NY Metrostars supporter (soccer). I like walking around Manhattan and I also love to cook. I enjoy history and art, especially from Feudal Japan.

Music:

Ska, reggae, indie rock. Some old country, soul, rockabilly, punk, metal etc. I could list bands here, but by genre, you get the idea. I especially like:

Movies:

American Pimp, Zatoichi, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Half Baked, Raising Arizona, Das Boot, A Christmas Story, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, Yojimbo, The Seven Samurai, A Fistful of Dollars, Best In Show, Secretary, Dolemite, Shaft and other 70's blaxploitation, etc. In general I like James Bond, war films, samurai films and westerns.

Television:

CSI (all 3), Rome, Deadwood, The L Word, LOST, Heroes, Everybody Hates Chris, etc.

Books:

My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and Iceberg Slim. But I like books on Japanese tattooing, Bushido, Samurais, German U Boats and anything else with some kind of historical significance.
