I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a print/web designer, retoucher and all-around creative problem-solver.
I make money as the head of the digital dept. of a midtown graphics lab.
What free time I have goes into personal projects, freelance gigs and exploration.
Visit my site: insecteye.com
Vist me at DeviantART.com
If you are an admin, looking to censor my artwork, FUCK OFF!
Fans of Adobe Illustrator should check this out: LifeInVector.com
Maxims for interpersonal relationships:
Do unto others as you would have done to you.
Don't bullshit me and, most important, don't bullshit yourself.
Pay attention.
Boys and girls are the same, only different.
Wherever you go, there you are.
"Each new hour holds new chances for new beginnings.
The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change."

OK-- had to post this:
You're an Expert Kisser
You're a kissing pro, but it's all about quality and not quantity
You've perfected your kissing technique and can knock anyone's socks off
And you're adaptable, giving each partner what they crave
When it comes down to it, your kisses are truly unforgettable What Kind of Kisser Are You?
adopt your own virtual pet!

My Interests

Art, design, computers, nature, origami, movies, music, humor, horror, maps, science, exploded/cutaway diagrams, and the absence of bullshit.
I spend a good deal of time in my head, which I clear by walking in Central Park (it's the closest thing a non-driving city dweller gets to actual nature). Talking on the phone or meeting with friends, researching obscure subjects and then dropping them like hot potatoes for the next one-- I keep things simple. I'm most at peace hiking or sitting in the woods, and no- I do not own a manual typewriter or a "shack". It's simply the best way for me to decompress.

I'd like to meet:

People who have LEGIBLE MySpace homepages.
Those who consider cause and effect.
Appreciators of form and function.
Those who recognize the link between man and animal.
Dangerous minds.
Creative types.
Troublemakers.
Social lubricators of the dream world.
Harborers of unanswerable questions.
Oh- and Harley Quinn:

Music:

I suppose it's time I updated this section, so you asked for it!

I have been listening to a ton of mashups lately. It's interesting to note how music can and does naturally overlap itself, expanding beyond the (generally) Western note and beat structures it was developed in, and how it's stored in popular memory. It's also fun to hear how different people experience, organize and process music.

Origami

Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, has been a fascination of mine for a while now. OK, it's sort of nerdy, but I think it's cool to take a two-dimensional plane and turn it into a free-stand...

An interesting thing happened in My Space the other day

I'm not going to make a big deal out of this... MySpace has rules about what type of images users are allowed to post, and I tried to slip one by them (so to speak). I was relying on the fact that oth...
