About Me


The Museum of Making Music, a division of the NAMM Foundation, celebrates the rich history and encourages the future of music making. It presents visitors with a nostalgic walkthrough of the past 100 years of American music and music making.
With over 450 vintage instruments, hundreds of audio and video clips, and unique interactive stage where visitors can make their own music on over a dozen hands-on, interactive instruments, the museum provides a unique educational adventure that everyone can enjoy!
Located at 5790 Armada Drive [MAP] in Carlsbad, the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is $5, $3 for students, seniors and active military.
