About Me

Hey-BUK BUK Whass-up? Are we gonna Jam Today?
I am simply known as "BruddahMark"
I am Asian
I am 100% Hapa
50% Filipino - 50% mix-race
I play the Ukulele (oohkoolaylee)
It makes people smile, and that's a positive thing
considering all the bad going on in the world right now.
Jump high and splash yourself into myspace and you will be my friend.
I am a Musician, Artist, Designer, Photographer, Surfer & Windsurfer. I am everything in and about the ocean, the sun, the beach life. Keep me close to the water or I'll shrink up and dry out..
I live on a beautiful island
jewel by the sea named
La Jolla.
pronounced "La Hoya" -
La Jolla is a beach community of San Diego in Southern California. It's not really an island, but it's been called an island paradise by many who visit.
I have many friends & family who live in San Diego and have family and very close friends living in the Hawaiian Islands" On the Big Island, Maui and Oahu. Between living in La Jolla and going back and forth to Hawaii My heart and spirit is always with Hawaii while my mental state of being lives in La Jolla.
Not to bad for two place(s) to chill either way, I guess....
People ask me, "where did you get the name BruddahMark"?
Credit the name to Jake Shimabukuro, virtuso ukulele player and one of the most gracious musicians I have ever met.
Jake performing on the Conan O'Brien show February 19th 2008
Jake performing at The Belly-Up Tavern-Solana Beach Jan 2007
I first met Jake in Honolulu then hooked up with him at his ukulele workshop at Kahilu Theatre, Waimea in 2002. I have been following and supporting Jake ever since and boy has he gone big! From watching him as a talented young gun jumping around and screaming on stage to today as a matured finely seasoned musician playing to sold-out venues. He even played in front of a 100,000 Jimmy Buffet fans. With only a ukulele! SHootz.
Jake was the first to start calling me Bruddahmark and it has stuck like gum. He He!
I like your nickname, a friend told me. "You should start a line of clothing, so I did.
