Howlin' Hobbit

Got Uke?

About Me

Howlin' Hobbit has been playing music and singing since grade school. That was somewhere back in the dark ages.

Howlin' plays a variety of instruments, but his main "axes" are ukulele (too much fun in a tiny package), harmonica and washboard.

For many years Howlin' has been a busker at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington, playing mainly blues on guitar and harmonica at first but now playing ukulele and all that jazz! In the summer of 2001 he played washboard with Patsy Fuller, another busker (from the U.K.), and was featured in that capacity (as well as vocals and harmonica) on her CD 'Twixt Pike & Pine.

Currently (in addition to his solo efforts) Howlin' is playing with Snake Suspenderz , a hot jazz and novelty act that has recently grown from a duo to a quartet. It features ukulele, bass trombone, drums, upright bass and an amazing "mouth trumpet" by the bass player.
