About Me

The Schomberg Fair (Jake, Matt and Nate) are three handsome assholes whose unique brand of Speed-Gospel/Folk-Punk -- coupled with engaging, spirted performances -- have rowdied crowds since their inception in 2006. We originally hail from a small rural farm town in Ontario called Schomberg, so we're not one of these urban fake folk/country/blues acts; we're legit. We named the band "The Schomberg Fair" to pay homage to, and capture the spirit of Schomberg's local annual agricultural fair; an event that any teenager in their right mind gets excited about because of it's Demolition Derby and party atmosphere.
In 2006 we released our debut EP Pickup Full of Empties, available at any of our shows or at the fine Toronto retailers Rotate This and Soundscapes. We also finished recording our full-length album in December 2007, and hope to have it ready by early 2008. We are very pleased to have Dan Wolovick managing us. After several incidents we are not at liberty to comment about, it was decided that we could use assistance in our business affairs.
We've played every reputable venue in Toronto, as well as many across southern Ontario and Quebec, converting non-believers into 'Fair fans along the way. We've had the pleasure of playing with some great artists including Luther Wright, Krief (featuring Patrick Krief of the Dears), B.A Johnston and Rebekah Higgs. We've also had the opportunity to play some pretty cool festivals including Canadian Music Week (CMW) 2008. We continue to perform in more towns to more and more people, and welcome everyone to come out to a show and party with us. For bookings and other related matters please contact Dan .
Hope to see you soon,
The Schomberg Fair
