I am here for Friends

About Me

Layout made by stevejaycrew at CreateBlog.com .
according to my research, i am (variously):
a ghost town , a Greek city and ethnographical museum , and a moon of Neptune
and some of my alternate Google identities include:
a champion German shotputter, a prolific writer of romance novels for Temptation press, a webdesigner and graphic artist, a Japanese computer engineering student
whereas, in my current incarnation, i am a collection of the following:
champion of friends and fruit
writer and photographer, editor and trip hostess
lover of the beach date and the pier
connoiseur of watermelon gum and the icee
player of the drums, piano, and guitar
curious and cocky, playful and thoughtful
gardener with no garden, dog lover without a dog (tragic!)
sleeper of sweet and bizarre dreams
secret-keeper and game-player
kisser and lover, grocery-cart rider

hikers and yogis, planetary beings, expert walkers and strutters, carnies and the people who love them, adventurers, amateur ethnobotanists, anime hounds, and roman candle people.

Movies:

shitty B movies forever, miyazaki, jan svankmajer everything, troma, big lebowski, zoolander, american beauty, pillow book, kama sutra, clue, andrew blake a lil tweensy, anything documentary, serpent and the rainbow.
my ideal movie plot: animated pirates in an undersea striptease extravaganza turns bloody when one of their number falls in love with a trash-talking redneck with a heart of gold. hilarity and hijinks ensue as the pirates take sea creatures hostage, dance the lambada ondeck, attempt to perform fellatio on electric eels (ay caramba!), awake from logging dreams in a real live logging camp, meet the Weechee Watchee mermaids, and through their adventures slowly gather the clues to solve the disappearance mystery of their lovesick captain and his mysterious paramour.
pickup trucks and panties involved. oh, and lots of rope-swinging.

Television:

space ghost coast to coast, cartoon planet, old ren and stimpy, basically most cartoons and anime, GOLDEN BOY! (study study study), buffy the vampire slayer (a college TV hangover i can't seem to kick), discovery channel anything. i don't watch alot of TV so i am pretty sensitive to visual stimulus... sometimes i get hung up on tripping to the weather channel. storm cover coming in from the northwest! barometer dropping!
i'm telling you, it's weirdly fascinating. don't worry though, i only do it when alone. maybe it has something to do with growing up in a tornado state.
TV is mostly just good for video games anyhow.

Heroes:

wade davis, richard evans schultes, jan svankmajer, andy goldsworthy, lucinda williams, marie laveau, annie griffiths belt.Courage + conviction + humor = happy
