KATI MÄKI

About Me

Kati Mäki (read: cutty mackie) was born in Finland and started singing and writing music from an early age. In 1995 she moved to London to study mainly music but also drama and dance. While in London she worked as a session singer and appeared on tv and radio. She also had her own jazz trio, The Kati Mäki Trio which played at functions, restaurants and festivals.

Since 2002 Kati has been living in Stockholm, Sweden and is pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter.

In March 2006 she won the competition for "The best new jazz song 2006" in Tyresö (near Stockholm) with her song "One true love".

She is also currently studying her BA in music at SMI, Stockholm.
