EXCESSION

Excession - London Goth / Alternative

About Me

Excession started after the demise of Vendemmian (Dave used to be the guitarist). Excessions sound is somewhere between trad goth / ethereal / "4AD for the new century". We have released 3 cd's to date. "Jong & Huga" on Resurrection Records and then "Forever" & "The Writing on the Wall" on Celestial through Resurrection and Strobelight.

We have just had an extended break to get some personal stuff together and we are currectly working on new material. We have gigged extensively in the UK, Italy, Germany, Austria,& Ireland, including many festivals. Check back for further details.....

Sounds Like: ... make your own mind up.

..... this is what Gothic Revue think - "Have I been teleported back to the best era of music ever? AM I back in the eighties once again? This band ..Excession.. is a cross between Siouxsie (the Banshees) and Aimee Mann (Til.. Tuesday). Fast upbeat swirly rock with female vocals is what this is. Souls is a great song that makes my little Babybat want to dance every time she gets a chance to hear it. Yasmin and Dave are the masters behind this fine, eighties-esque band from London. I thought that bands like this ceased to exist at about 1988, but I guess I was wrong Excession provethis sound to still have some devotees out there making ..retro new-wave.. Well done ,Yasmin and Dave, well done.
