About Me

Located on the Llano Estacado in southeastern New Mexico, Hobbs is deemed the "oil capital" of New Mexico. Hobbs Public Library was founded in 1939 with donations from community members. It is located in the middle of Clinton Park and has grown to over 100,000 items including books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books. HPL is one of eight libraries in the Estacado Library Information Network. Hours:
Sundays: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Mondays-Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Fridays-Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Story Hours:
Wednesdays: 10-11 a.m.for 3, 4, 5 year-olds
Fridays: 10-11 for 3-year-olds
Tuesday Twos: six-week program for 2-year-olds (call the library to pre-register) See our website at: www.hobbspubliclibrary.org
