Hi! I'm Elise Leonard,
author of books like the AL'S WORLD series and the JUNKYARD DAN series.
Yes, I used to be a teacher.
But don't hold that against me.
All my students said I was pretty cool.
But then I had kids, and they tell me I'm not.
(But what do THEY know?!?!)
Check out my JUNKYARD DAN series, brought to you by Nox Press. You can find the books at the Nox Press website at www.NoxPress.com or at my official Web site at www.eliseleonard.com.
Also, please check out my AL'S WORLD series, brought to you by Simon & Schuster! You can find the books at EVERY bookstore, every retail store, and every online store that sells books! Oh, and they're paperbacks, so you don't have to sell off your parents' CD collection or your pet gerbil to buy 'em!
Check out my Web site at: www.eliseleonard.com or you can go to the Simon & Schuster Web site if you want more info. (And please feel free to contact me. I ALWAYS love hearing from my readers!)

I look forward to speaking at the International Corrections Educational Association in Denver! Hope to see you there!
I had a blast in New Mexico while speaking at the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy conference. (Well, except for the peach yogurt incident. But that wasn't New Mexico's fault!)
Thanks to the great librarians at the Florida Library Association conference (held April 22 to 25)! Your warm welcome and great personalities made giving my presentation exciting and a ton of fun! (And YES, folks, I'm talking about librarians! Try meeting YOUR local librarian, I'll bet you'll find he or she is MUCH more fun than you ever imagined!)
The National Migrant Education conference was AMAZING! "Thank you" to all the great people who attended my session on April 23, 2008! I had a blast!
MONDAY MORNING BLITZ and KILLER LUNCH LADY are both nominated for "ALA Quick Picks for Reluctant YA Readers." Special thanks to all who were involved in THAT!
I'll be signing at the Brandon, FL Barnes & Noble on Sunday March 16th from 1-3pm
On Saturday March 22nd, I'll be appearing at the Great Explorations Children's Museum for their "Bunny Tales" literacy event. Please come see me there!
And on March 30th through April 1st, I'll be presenting at the National Conference on Family Literacy in Louisville, KY, in my very own Spotlight Session! If you're there, please pop by and say "hi."
Thanks for visiting me at the St. Pete Times Festival of Reading on Saturday, October 27th!
I enjoyed being on the panel discussing "Keeping Boys on the Page" which included R.L. Stine (Goosebumps, Fear Street), Blake Nelson, and Sharon Robinson (daughter of baseball great Jackie Robinson) as the other panelists. It was a great time, and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
And many, MANY thanks to those who attended the Sarasota Reading Festival on November 3rd. I had a blast! Hope you did too.
Thank you ALL!
Oh, and if you want a FREE download of the awesome song
