About Me

Chong Lim is a Melbourne based musician. He is a Musical Director, composer, producer, arranger and orchestrator. At present, he is the Musical Director of 2 hit TV shows on Channel 7 - "Dancing With the Stars" and "It Takes Two". His other major TV contributions this year were the "2006 Logie Awards" and "TV Turns 50". He is also the Musical Director for John Farnham and has been Musical Director for Olivia Newton-John, Kylie Minogue and Sir George Martin. He also had the honour of being the Musical Director of this year's Melbourne Commonwealth Games held at the MCG. He composed "Nature" and "Journey Of Angels" for the Sydney Olympics in 2000 as well as produced "Dare To Dream", Heroes Live Forever" and "Under Southern Skies" for the Games , and various pieces for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006 including "Menanarangee" and "Fireworks". He recently completed production work on David Campbell's upcoming swing album, Oliva Newton-John's latest album "Stronger Than Before" and 3 tracks on Anthony Callea's new album due for release soon. He also arranged and conducted the Victorian Philarmonic Orchestra for 3 tracks (including the new single "Taller Better Stronger") on Guy Sebastian's soon-to-be released album. He has also continued his annual tradition of contributing his production work on tracks for the Myer "Spirit Of Christmas" album, this year, producing Natalie Bassingthwaighte and David Campbell. He is currently working on various new projects to complete a very busy 2006. Watch out for news of these upcoming projects!!
