YOU CAN HEAR SOME VOCAL SAMPLES ON MY WEBSITE - WWW.SARAHMACLAINE.COM. *** SOME ORIGINALS COMING SOON.......************************************************* ****************** A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME ~~I'm a singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. I'm originally from Tasmania. There are many things I miss about Tassie ..... family, friends, the vibrant music scene, the beautiful fresh, clean air ~ that moment you step off the plane ...... *****I have English and Scottish heritage. Love the U.K!*******I'm passionate about music .... It's my life! I regularly do session singing/recording for many artists and for radio. I've performed with some wonderful artists, including the brilliant Peter Cupples (Stylus) and Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool/Mondo Rock). I'm a regular performer on the corporate scene in Melbourne and around the country, and I have a Saturday residency at JJ's Bar & Grill - Crown Entertainment Complex.*********I appeared on Bert Newton's programme Good Morning Australia regularly for 8 years ( clocked up about 80 performances). I first sang on the show with Australian entertainer Peter Cupples - in 1997 - and the producers asked me back the same month. I then became a regular artist on the show, performing every couple of months. GMA came to an end in 2005, after a successful 15-year run. *** HAPPY 70TH BERT!!!! *** x~~~~~~~~~~~~I've recently been working on some of my original songs. I'm looking forward to posting some of them on MySpace. Gotta get them copyrighted 'n all first!** My aim is to have some of my compositions 'on file' with publishers/production companies, for use in film & television. I love how songs / scores play such a big part in bringing television shows and movies to life! The fact is ... when we think of certain films/tv shows, we always seem to recall the music/songs from them.~~~~~~~~~~I've performed in many venues/hotels/clubs around Australia and overseas; appeared on 7 variety shows on television, and have performed for many companies/corporate clients, including Channel's Seven, Nine & Ten; Honda, Ford Australia, Sportsgirl, The Make a Wish Foundation, PETA, WSPA, The Variety Club of Australia, The AFL (Australian Football League), Crown Entertainment Complex (Crown Towers events) and many more........._________________________________My taste in music is quite eclectic. Some favourite artists include Sting, The Beatles, George Harrison solo , Paul McCartney solo, David Bowie, Crowded House, Simply Red, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Kate Bush, Noa, Moloko, Toto .......*** See my "Music" section for a bigger list. ***~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I love to travel! I want to visit Peru one day (ahhh... Machu Picchu ), and re-visit England and Scotland. My ancestral castle (Moy Castle) in Loch Buie - Scotland, is amazing! It's 15th century. (It's a little run down these days, and a combination of moss and ivy is slowly creating a thick green blanket at it's base). I'm hoping to go back and explore the interior. Last time I was there we wern't allowed in because of loose stones, structure damage, etc. I'm going to sneak my way in somehow! :o) Just next to the castle is a stone circle (very pagan!) It's called the "Stones of Wonder". It's about 20 metres from the shore of Loch Buie. * Me, in the middle of the circle + a bottle of great red wine + a wonderful sunset + great company = my idea of heaven.********New York fascinates me. (Haven't been there yet. I must go sometime)!************WWW.SARAHMACLAINE.COM ******************UP-COMING GIGS ********** JJ'S BAR & GRILL ~ CROWN ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX, MELBOURNE. He approached me, tapped me on the shoulder and sat on the arm of my chair (... leaning on my shoulder for about 10 minutes). He spoke with us for a while. He had a cheekiness about him.
