Brewed in the honky tonks and steeped in traditional country music, this duo has most definitely paid their dues. For the last 12 years they have played every weekend in venues ranging from world class concert stadiums to cinder block shacks and rocked them all, big or small.Tucson has opened for major label artists such as: Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aaron Tippin, Clay Walker and more.Though we primarily perform covers, Michael is a stellar songwriter, receiving national air play for the song "The 11th Day," written and recorded 3 days after the 911 tragedy.Anyone who has ever worked with Robert and Michael know them to be consumate professionals who take great pride in their craft..."We've never missed a show, it doesn't matter if we're playing in front of five thousand or five, we still have the same enthusiasm and we still put 110% into every performance".We are both passionate about what we do and we love doing it. What could be better than getting to hang out with your best friend, play music, drink beer and get paid for it?Tucson endorses: Fender Telecaster (is there any other kind?) Guitars, Joshua Guitars, Yamaha and Korg Keyboards, Shure Beta series Microphones, JBL speakers, Rio Grande Pickups, QSC amps and Montana Silversmiths.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: You're looking at it.
Band Members: Michael Paul: Lead Vocals, Harmony and Guitar. Michael got started in the music business playing drums in a rock band. But then something magic happened: he discovered Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and Hank Jr. Michael has an uncanny ability to sound a lot like who ever he is covering without losing his own vocal stylings. Tenor or rich, resonant baritone, he's got it covered.

R.L.: Lead Vocals, Harmony and Keyboard. Robert has been singing for a long time. As front man with his former band, also named Tucson, they made a name for themselves playing clubs around the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in the late '80s and early '90s. Robert's musical interests are vast and varied, which would explain why he is such a well-rounded vocalist who is equally at ease singing Blackfoot's "Train Train" or masterfully pulling off a Ray Price ballad.

Other band members vary depending on venue.
