Guitarist Enzo Ferlazzo received his first guitar on his 11th birthday and never looked back. His first instrument played is cello at the age of 7. Unsatisfied with this instrument he decided to turn to guitar. Enzo began teaching himself through many guitar methods and various instructional books and videos. During High School he decided to study seriously with a teacher that was found in Alessandro Benvenuti, well known Italian musician. Enzo joined is first band at the age of 16 playing original songs and having a couple of shows in his town. The turning point of his career was when he decided to form the band HERALDRY in 1996. With HERALDRY Enzo started touring Italy and Europe, playing also a great gig in the Classic Metal Festival in Chicago on May 14th 2005. Enzo, thanks to the intense activity had the chance of coming into contact with many great artist like Adrian Belew (King Crimson), Kiko Loureiro (Angra), Paul Dianno (Iron Maiden), Labyrinth. With Heraldry he recorded two demo CDs and two full length albums. He continued studying and improving his guitar style with other great Italian guitarists like Umberto Fiorentino (that improved his jazz playing) and Massimo Varini, one of the most important Italian session guitarist. We have to mention also an appearance in a video clip of two important Italian ..60s singers Dino e Michele in March 2006. At present he teaches in three school of music collecting about 30 students. His playing is mainly influenced by the following artists: Malmsteen, Jason Becker, Gilbert, Holdsworth, Vai, Gambale, Gary Moore, Friedman, Howe, Kotzen, Firkins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kiko Loureiro, Steve Howe. He was also influenced by many styles including: Jazz, Classical, Funk, Blues and even Country if you can believe that. Enzo has been featured in many metal magazines such as Metal Shock, Metal Hammer, Hard, and in many web sites among which we have to mention Truemetal.it, Eutk.net, metalloitaliano.it. Enzo wrote some articles on the best italian guitar magazine "Chitarre". At present he works on movies soundtracks and as a session guitarist.
