He played classic piano for many years and studied Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov and others.... At the age of 16 he became more interested in jazzmusic and has been ever since... Erik has studied jazzmusic and improvisation in Stockholm, Bollnäs, Piteå and Trondheim. He started to play Hammond-Organ in the summer of 2005 and has sort of converted to his Hammond XK33 with Leslie 2101+2121 ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- Erik has performed with different bands at Stockholm Jazz & Bluesfestival, Trondheim jazzfestival, jazzklubb Fasching in Stockholm, Jazzklubb Kjellern in Trondheim, Stockholm Concerthall, The Nobelparty 2006, and many other places/stages in Sweden, Norway, Russia, France, Austria... ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- Bronkenstein has just recorded a new album with his great musicianfriends Erik Edlund dr, Jerry Haglund git. and Bjorn Jansson ts. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- After "googling" at the internet sometime ago, I found out that there is a pianoplayer from Germany named Erik Brinkman with the same spelling as me. Partly for that reason, but also to honor my late father I came to the conclusion that Bronkenstein would be a funny and unique name (it was also daddys nickname).
