Marcela Contardo

Chilean-Swedish singer/songwriter Marcela Contardo, lives in Stockholm where she performs on a regular basis with her band.After studying music at Rytmus Music Conservatory, she engaged in studies of English literature, to find even more inspiration and “tools” when composing.Growing up in the eighties, listening to groups such as Roxette, Simon & Garfunkel and Silvio Rodriguez, has made a major impact on her music. The emotional and straightforward pop-songs are based on traditional storytelling, with a touch of folklore.
