The Filthy Six are fast establishing themselves as one of the finest live acts around. A London based group, they play a hip-shakingly powerful mixture of soul jazz, funk and boogaloo in the finest traditions of late 60's Blue Note artists such as Lou Donaldson, Grant Green, Jimmy McGriff and Donald Byrd. With both original music and classics from the golden period of Soul Jazz the band honed their skills at their monthly residency (The Thursday Boogaloo) at the infamous Tatty Bogle club in London’s Soho. Currently hosting a monthly night at the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, London, they have also been invited to burn up venues and dancefloors all across the UK and Europe, including shows in Stockholm, Paris, Geneva, Isle of Wight International Jazz Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Like their heroes before them, their music appeals to hard-core groovers and potent jazz heads alike.
