As a teenager, I transformed my bedroom into a darkroom by taping aluminum foil to my windows. I bought a used film SLR from a thrift store and started shooting black and white photos. For years I neglected my photography skills, and concentrated instead of music and computers. In 1998, I ended up working at a little photo store in Laie, Hawaii, where I got a crash course in digital photography and photo finishing. I did photo processing, digital repair, and retouching, sometimes rescuing family treasures that were 100 years old!
In 2005, I needed a photographer to document music events, and when nobody stepped up, I bought a point and shoot digital camera and tackled it myself. I missed the artistic control of a real SLR, so in 2007, I bought a Nikon D80, and remembered how much I loved photography. I dove in head-first, deciding almost immediately to alter my career focus and concentrate on photography full-time. That's all I've been doing ever since, and I'm loving it more every day!

Music
Dilvie caught the electronic music bug in the demoscene during the early 90's. His primary influences at the time were demoscene legends, synthpop and new wave bands of the 80's, videogame music, and industrial bands. In the mid 90's, Dilvie began to pay a lot more attention to DJ's when he was exposed to the fluid mixes of local and national talents in the rave scene. You might hear Dilvie's music on dancefloors, TV, a large number of podcasts, or in a wide variety of independent DVDs and videos. With close to half a million downloads of his royalty free tracks circulating the globe, you never know where they'll turn up!
Currently, Dilvie operates Knobtweakers.net , a popular electronic music MP3 blog. Rumor has it, he's hard at work on a number of Drum and Bass tracks and remixes, as well.
