My Interests

Not so much interests as mandatory requirements - MUSIC, COMEDY, MANCHESTER UNITED, FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY, MY LOVELY LITTLE SON, AND MY BLESSED PALS....

I'd like to meet:

Anyone from the moooosic, film and tv section opposite, really. Most amusing celeb encounters took place in the company of my good friend Dame - www.myspace.com/hookjaw - I fondly remember exiting a taxi in London, to find ourselves on a red carpet, greeted by Baddiel & Skinner out on the roast with Richard Wilson. I can still see vividly the look of scorn on his wrinkley old dial when Dame scoffed 'I DON'T BELIEVE IT !!!' at the top of his voice. It's right up there with the time we saw Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave in the Birmingham Academy. Dame took it upon himself to ask him in his usual uncouth yorkshire bellow, 'why do they call theee Comedy Dave?'... But none of this compares to the time we were fortunate enough to watch a Mansun gig from the side of the stage, and as the illegal rider consumption mounted up, we both found ourselves emptying our bladders against the back curtain, lights shining down upon our wriggling, cackling sillouettes, to the enchanting tune of 'Wide Open Space'. Classic.
All i need now is a night out with Ronnie Corbett, Kieth Baron and Gary Wilmot and i'll die happy...

And Christopher Walken, whos portrayal of a mob boss in True Romance and the whole scene where he and Dennis Hopper 'engage in dialogue', as he puts it, may just be cinemas finest hour.

Books:

Tried some Kerouac - i'd compare it to last years chrismas bonus at work, i just didn't get it. Robert Harris' POMPEII comes recommended, as do the crime thrillers by Lee Child. I still love Arthur Conan Doyle and Enid Blyton to be honest, i was raised on them...

Heroes:

Without a doubt, my own son, Ryan, for many reasons tops the list. Robbo, Sparky,Teddy and Smudger at Man United, Nuno, Dave Gilmour, Steve Rothery, Brian May and Adrian Smith will all share the silver medal.
