About Me

Cory was born and raised in a small suburb of Charlotte NC. His parents played in a band and music was always around. When his parents got divorced, music became more than something to listen to. Music became a way of life, and something to completely get lost in. Cory started playing guitar when he was 12. When he heard Fleetwood Mac's classic "The Chain". He soon began studying fingerstyle guitar. When Cory began researching fingerstyle guitar, a name kept popping up, that name would change his life. Cory soon began to study the style of Nick Drake who's virtuoso right hand techniques far surpassed anyone he'd ever heard. This, led him to alternate tunings. Here, Cory found his voice as a guitar player, and as a songwriter, he began writing almost exclusively in alternate tunings in 2000.Cory's 1st EP was released in early May, anyone is interested in a copy of "Looking Through", or booking dates, please E-mail.Customyzed using
