HE ONLY HAS 2 WEEKS LEFT!!! PLZ SAVE HIM!!!----------------- Bulletin Message ----------------- From: Pepsi Date: Feb 10, 2007 2:40 PMFrom: Southeastern Pet Rescue Project Date: Feb 9, 2007 2:56 PMBILLY IS AT THE SHELTER I WORK AT. HE IS ONE OF MY BABIES, AND HE ONLY HAS 2 WEEKS LEFT!ALTHOUGH ITS A NO KILL SHELTER, THEY HAVE DEEMED BILLY A LIABILITY. HE WAS ABUSED (CHASED AND BEATEN WITH BROOMS) BY HIS PREVIOUS OWNER, AND TAUNTED BY KIDS IN THE NEIBORHOOD. FOR THIS REASON HE IS AGRESSIVE TOWARDS MALES. SOME MALES, FOR SOME REASON, HE DOES GET ALONG WITH.HE NEEDS A RESCUE WHO WILL WORK WITH HIM, A FOSTER, OR A FOREVER OWNER! HE WOULD BE GREAT FOR A SINGLE FEMALE OR GIRLS LIVING ALONE. OR EVEN A MALE WHO CAN TEACH HIM THAT NOT ALL MALES ARE EVIL! PLEASE SAVE HIM.I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, I AM WILLING TO EVEN PAY ALL OF HIS ADOPTION FEES IF SOMEONE WILL TAKE HIM!The discription bellow is an old discription from a previous bulletin. Buffalo Bill(Billy) --M/2yrs/chow-border collie mix Billy is a VERY special boy. He was abused by a male at a young age and is now very untrusting of them. When he is in a yard, if there is a male with his backturned and arm over the fench, Billy as been known to nip at them. He also barks and growls at men from a distance. When he is out of the yard and on a leash, he is fine with ANYONE unless they are showing signs of aggression towards him(e.i. bowing up and coming towards him yelling, or approaching with a large object that he thinks they may try to hit him with). He definatly will need some rehabilitation towards men. He would be great for a single woman, and does get along well with other doggies. He may also be a good dog for a patient man who can be gentle with him and show him that not all men are bad. ***Reason Billy needs out: Even though Billy is at a no kill shelter, if he keeps biting at people, he will be demed a "threat" and a "preditor" which is grounds by state law to be put down. I absolutly LOVE Bill, he is one of my favorite residence, and I DO not want to see him put down. I will go out of my way to help anyone who may be interested in rescuing Billy!!!***contact me as myspace.com/seprp
My adopted bunny who i love very much : )He loves when I give him a good scratchy.
Dear Friends,We have taken on a very important case here at Orange & Orange, Attorneys @ Paw. One of our human friends is fostering a special kitty, and has asked us to help find him a good home.Scallywag is a super cool little dude. He is a 7-month old orange tabby. He is also a polydactyl puss and has 26 toes! Yep, he 's got extra toes on all four paws.He has a wonderful purrsonality (typical of us oranges), and is very smart. Scallywag is fluent in both the meow and purr dialect. He is also currently mastering various snuggle techniques. Plus, around the house, those extra toes will come in very handy. Or should we say pawy?Scallywag is not neutered yet. However, our mom said that she would be happy to pay our vet to remove his family jewels. Mom is also willing to help transport him to a good home within a reasonable distance from our area (north Florida or south Georgia).Scallywag is currently property of the Tallahassee Animal Shelter, but is residing in a foster home. If anyone is seriously interested in giving him a good, loving home...please contact us and we will put you in touch with his foster human. We would hire him here at the paw firm, but that would make us Orange & Orange & Orange.....and that's just too much orange.Take a look at this awesome little guy. What a stud muffin! Thanks for your time, and please repost if you have friends in the southeast area.
Here is the update bulletin I just posted on him - we have named him Rosco.
Update on emaciated dog - he has been pulled
We have named this skinny little boy Rosco. He has been pulled from the shelter and is at the vets as I write this bulletin. We have a no kill shelter willing to take Rosco in.Now the bad news: Rosco is not only extremely emaciated, but he is strongly heartworm positive. He has several wounds on his legs and what appears to be a very infected eye. He is also loaded with fleas. While we do have a rescue for Rosco, we are in dire need of funds to help with Rosco’s heartworm treatment and other vet care. Please make donations to paypal – [email protected] orMail Donations to:

Urgent Lexington, VA -- Can anyone help this mom Pittie and her new babies?

Puppies will be euthanized if they don't go to rescue right away. This poor little girl was part of a court case and waited, very pregnant, at the shelter. Now she has brand new puppies (about 2 wks old) and the puppies will be euthanized if they don't go to rescue right away. They can't stay at the shelter -- can anyone help them? Transport help is available; please email: [email protected] ASAP if you can help. If this isn't a begging face -- I don't know what is :( .Please email Erin at [email protected] if you can help this poor family at all!!!THANKS!ErinConsider the fact that anyone who is breeding more animals is only contributing to the overpopulation, over 40% of all dogs being killed in shelters today are pure breeds, that means that they came from a breeder. What are the chances of dogs just pure breeding themseleves. There is no such thing as a responsible breeder. For every home a breeder finds for their dogs, a worthy home is gone for a shelter dog on death row. Ok, let me first explain that breeds are a man made thing. So preserving a breed is un-needed. Dogs can always be put back into breeds, and technically since pure breeds are all a products of incest, they are genetically less healthy and have more congenital problems. When dogs were wild, they were all one breed. Humans decided to put them into breeds by inbreeding specific dogs with specific characteristics. There are so many unwanted pets.. You can go .. and type in what breed you want, and where you live and there are over 400 dogs in your tri county area that fit your description. That is sad. :( That so many dogs are "fool" breeds and no one wants them. Crying shame. I say "fool" breeds, because only fools breed.-----------Hello! Toby is a chihuahua mix that I rescued from a Los Angeles shelter. He was pulled on December 15th and has been with a foster family and my family ever since. Everyone involved is growing attached to one another. Its time for Toby to find his forever home (or at the bear minimum a different foster home). He spent nearly four months at the shelter. For that reason, he lost valuable time with sociability with both dogs and humans (he was caged alone). He is my 5th dog right now, and gets along just fine with my others (alll dogs have disputes from time to time!). He is beginning to play with dog toys and seems to have a thing for tug-o-war! He loves to snuggle and get under the covers with you. The shelter did NOT recommend Toby to be in a house with small children (under 8 yrs or so), and we have found that is NOT CAT FRIENDLY either he chases and corners them, but thus far has caused no bodily harm). That choice is up to you, do you have the environment for both?He LOVES the dog park, plays just fine with other dogs his apx. size. He will chase down larger dogs (when people bring big dogs to little dog parks!). He loves to go on a walk with a leash! He has come a long way with both myself and his foster parents. He didnt take to either one of us when we first rescued him (right of the bat), but even within 15 minutes and a few ear strokes, he became more comfortable. He now LOVES his foster parents and their kids! He LOVES me too! He will also LOVE YOU too!We suspect he was abused somewhere along the line, as were many dogs taken to shelters for various reasons.I would allow Toby a few days adjustment time to get used to his new home. I am willing to have a 'trial session' with a qualified prospective family, where they can take him home for a couple of days and see how everyone does together. He does NOT show food aggression, which is a WONDERFUL THING! His only real 'issue' is he can be snippy with people sticking their hands in his face (strangers), and approaching him too quickly. Here is another milestone for Toby. Just a few weeks ago, I was unable to clean his ear (he had an ear infection which has since been treated), and he wouldnt let me anywhere near him! Now he is totally fine with me picking at his ear! The infection is cleared and I was just cleaning the residual 'stuff' from his ear, NO PROBLEM! Thanks to his foster mom too, she worked very patiently and diligently with him and his ear!Okay, here is the deal, neither of us can keep Toby, as much as we would love to. We both have cats, and in my case just too damn many animals. But I am a believer, I believed and still do that removing Toby from the shelter would be the best thing for him in the long run. Even some of the staff members were prepared to take him, if need be.Its very stressful in my house with so many pets. Foster mom is having work done on her house and she has no fenced yard right now.YOUR HELP for this little tidbit of a dog, would be most appreciated!I am asking $125 for Toby. He cost me $71 to bail him out, plus $152 for the ear surgery. You have the easy part. he is done with his neuterign and everything! All you have to do is give him a home, and some time, and he will be a great friend! Perfect little lap dog! Loves to sit in your lap while you drive (although I know thats a very dangerous thing). His coloring is cream on cream (two tone). He stands about 10-11 inches at the shoulder and haunches. He is about 18 inches long from nose to rear end (not including the tail). He measures about 5 inches across his back (side of chest area to other side of chest). You must have a fenced yard with no visible gaps! He escaped me at the dog park where the fencing had about a 5 inch gap, he was able to slip right through!Adoption fee for Toby is $125, which is less than you would have paid had you rescued him directly. I was lucky enough to have some friends help pay for his med bill, since it was so unexpected.Until I place Toby, I will be unable to help any more animals in the future. I am far beyond capacity for a private household!
Meet TobyHELP NEEDED ASAP!
Hilltop had a seizure at the adoption center in South Carolina!
Discription: As mixed breeds go, Hillie is top of the heap. This great dog just needs a caring human to spend some time with him and reassure him that we aren't all loud and violent. He was scared and submissive whe he first arrived but now that he's been with us for a while he is becoming playful and extremely affectionate with our staff. He was abandoned at our thrift store location with is sister at around 8 months old. His sister, however, was adopted, leaving Hilly alone and depressed. If he could just get out of this place, I think Hillie will be the kind of faithful companion his new family will never forget.
UPDATE: WHEN I WAS SHOWING HILLY THIS PAST SATURDAY TO A VERY NICE COUPLE, HE UP AND HAD A SEIZURE, OUT OF NO WHERE. WE DO NOT KNOW IF HE HAS HAD ANY PREVIOUSLY. HE WAS ATTACKED MY ANOTHER DOG AND WAS GIVEN A ANTIBIOTIC THAT SOMETIMES INDUCES SEIZURES IN DOGS WHO HAVE EPILEPCY LYING DORMANT. IF HE HAS ANOTHER SEIZURE AND HE IS AROUND OTHER DOGS, THEY WILL ATTACK, AND MOST LIKELY KILL HIM. I HAVE SEEN AND HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION TO DOGS WHO HAVE SEIZURES AROUND OTHER DOGS. THE SHELTER HE IS AT IS A PRIMARLY NO-KILL SHELTER, WITH TWO EXCEPTIONS. ONE BEING THE ANIMAL IS A PREDITOR AND HAS ATTACKED MULTIPLE OTHER ANIMALS AND/OR HUMANS. THE OTHER BEING THAT THEY HAVE PRESSING MEDICAL ISSUES THAT DEAM THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE IS UNEXCEPTABLY LOW. HILLY MAY END UP BEING ONE OF THOS CASES IF HE ISNT GOTTEN OUT. AT THE ADOPTION CENTER, WITH ROTATING SHIFTS AND EMPLOYEES COMING AND GOING TO RAPIDLY, HILLTOP COULD NOT GET THE PROPER MEDICAL ATTENTION AND THE EXACT TO THE HOUR MEDICATION HE MAY REQUIRE IF HE CONTINUES TO HAVE SEIZURES!
Please help Hilltop!
If you can, contact me at myspace.com/seprp ASAP!
UPDATE (2/12/07)
We have pulled Hilly up into the office area now, and he walks around half of the day amongst the adopters and staff in out main building, and sleeps in his bed the rest of the day. He is getting LOTS of special attention from our staff, but is still DEPERATLY in need of a FOREVER HOME!
He is an absolutly AMAZING dog. Housetrained, quite as a mouse, we hardly even know he is there, despite the fact that he and I have formed a tight bond, and he follows me like a shadow. He knows his name, doesnt need a leash, even outside, and responds well to everything. He is a bit shy of strangers, but not to the point where he is skiddish.
He had VERY dirty ears and he had tried to scratch at them so much that he broke the skin on the outside of his ears.
HERE ARE SOME RECENT PICTURES OF HILLTOP. THE ONES ABOVE WERE FROM HIS ARRIVAL AT PETS INC. A WHILE BACK. THE ONES BELLOW ARE FROM TODAY!ALL CATS DO HAVE SPONSORSHIPS FOR THE RESCUES THAT ARE WILLING TO TAKE THEM!!!
Please help them, or they will be facing the gas chamber in the next three days.

*URGENT* Popcorn
DogA&S Pit Bull and Am Staff [email protected] Bull TerrierSize: Medium
Age: Young
Gender: Female
ID:Notes:***Courtesy Posting***DO NOT contact A & S Rescue***See Contact information below***Popcorn is a beautiful, all white, 7 month old female pit bull.Defenseless, Pop Corn’s start in life was one of abandonment and abuse. Barely a few weeks old, some caring teenagers found her in a forest preserve with her face “smashed†and immediately brought her to Save-A-Pet.The chain of events then happened rapidly, she immediately went to a vet emergency clinic, spent some days there and then moved into a foster home, but is now back at our facility. The only reminder of that horrific day is her eye. Popcorn's injuries included permanently damaging one eye which she has no vision out of now, and her skull and face had fractures which have all healed well.Popcorn has turned into an ebullient girl that lives life to the fullest. She loves to roughhouse and roll around with other dogs, but that’s not always every dog’s cup of “boneâ€.Sadly, Popcorn is living in a cage at the kennel. For months now Popcorn has watched people pass by her cage day after day...hoping one day someone would stop by her cage, pick her up, hug her, and take her home with them.Popcorn is still just a baby, and very sweet. She longs for human attention. She is very lonely and sad living in a cage at the shelter. Because Popcorn is so sad, and used to being passed by, she seems to have given up hope of ever finding a forever family.Sweet little Popcorn deserves to live in a loving forever home, and to experience love and security. Please consider changing Popcorn's life! Popcorn will not let you down, she has a lot of love to share!***Contact Information***If you are interested in adopting Popcorn, or for more information on her, please contact:Save-A-Pet Adoption Center, 31664 North Fairfield Road, Grayslake, Illinois 60030Call and ask for an Adoption counselor at : 847-740-7788, or you may send an email to: [email protected], RE: PopcornPublic Adoption Hours:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 1 pm - 5 pmThursday: 1pm - 8 pmSaturday: 11am - 6pmSunday: 11am - 6pmDO NOT contact A & S Rescuehttp://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pet

Kiko had a family that he loved but they didn’t love him back. He is now at the shelter and has a cut above his eye from a fight. His time was actually up a few days ago, but since a few other dogs were rescued, he has a few more days. His time will soon be up again and he will be euthanized. He doesn’t deserve this fate. He would make a great and loving companion for someone.

Buddy has had a rough life. He had been neglected and starved before he arrived at the animal control. Now he awaits his death. He is harder to rescue as he is a pitbull. However, he is very loving and would love to be part of a family. Buddy doesn’t deserve to die in a shelter.
