Kenny Texeira (pronounced: Tex-era ), hails from Western Massachusetts. After years of playing studio and live gigs with numerous bands on the East Coast, he wanted to take the West Coast by storm. After relocating to Hollywood in early 1991, Kenny found himself writing and performing theme songs for motion pictures. Some movie credits include "Private Wars", "Ice", and "Firepower", which are currently in rotation on pay cable stations in the U.S., as well as in 100 other countries around the world.
With countless live performances with L.A. bands and many studio sessions as a hired gun for other Artist', he decided to take his music career in his own hands and go solo. In the summer of 1997, Tex released his first solo CD entitled "Rock "n" Roll or Bust" on his own label - FilthyKat Records. Promoting this CD with high energetic shows and creating a buzz in Southern California, Kenny was picked up by an independent record label out of Malibu called Castle Music, which subsequently went under after only 1 year of signing him.
After many tweaks and re-evaluations in his career (including changing his professional name from Kenny Tex to his real name Kenny Texeira), he went back in the studio to record his 2nd CD entitled, "Turn it Up!" (with former David Lee Roth drummer Gregg Bissonette on 5 of those tracks). Tex is currently working on his third solo CD entitled "III".
