About Me

The first three tracks on this page were co-produced by Syke. I first got interested in working with music in 1992, on an Amiga 500, I got the previous christmas. I was 11 years old, and got a disk with Octamed on it. Which was a program for editing module and chip music. I spent hours making noises with this and a G-Soft Sampler. Around 1998, I started writing Hardcore, Breakbeat, and a bit of D&B, later moving more towards Electro and EBM with an Amiga 1200, sampler, and 2 belt drive turntables. I eventually (at my own expense), got a couple of these tracks pressed on vinyl in 2000. This was a big learning curve, where I should have chosen the tracks more wisely. I invested in Synthesisers, and spent time learning how patches worked, but eventually lost interest in writing music due to work and university commitments. In late 2006, I started to get back into music production again, after hearing a lot of new Australian Electro coming out, and decided to collaborate with a couple of local artists and long time friends under the name Audio One. The work of Audio One, has been heard on Three D Radio (93.7 FM), Fresh FM (92.7 FM) and Radio Adelaide (105.1 FM), all in Adelaide. Audio One were profiled in the street magazine, Onion Magazine, and also made Fresh FM local artist of the week during June 2007. Audio One's music has been played at various nightclubs/ club nights in Adelaide, South Australia (Savvy, HQ, Kings Head), and remixed by artists such as Tim Jackiw, and Magnoplas.
