About Me

"We're becoming sytematically driven into the ground. Bad taste becomes the order of the day, and people who object to it, schumcks like me, are suddenly spoilsports." - Harlan Ellison.........I chose the name for obvious reasons. (It is a gory horror film, yes, but musically it's about chopping, tearing parts, putting them all back together again, sort of...) It's a bit of an offshoot of my solo efforts during my GREEN DOOR band period, called the RHYTHM BOOBS. While the "BOOBS" used more cut and paste and sound collage-type techniques, DR. BUTCHER is geared more towards unusual songs, bizarre instrumentals, and stolen material incorporated into a finished piece. Pop tunes with a decidedly psychotic edge. Not noise art, but perhaps a more listenable form of experimentation that compliments my own musical tastes. Since 2000, two discs have been produced: PSYCHOLOGICHOLESTEROL and TRANSCENDENTAL HYGIENE. A third, POOP APNEA, is in the works at the time of this posting.
