To avoid the pain of his imminent divorce, Detective Kyle Fishburn takes an undercover assignment in the small town of Solace. But, the mystery in Solace is darker than his life at home.
Over the last year, a series of murders and disappearances has caught the attention of the county police. Since its suspected that local law enforcement is involved, Kyle goes deep undercover as a travel writer. He stays at a B&B and befriends the owner, Gordy, whose extensive knowledge of the town proves invaluable. Kyle quickly learns the dirt, the lies and the secrets of the suspects and their victims.
But, there is a frightening side to this mystery. Kyle realizes that the murders are not standard homicides. He learns that an evil is gripping the town, and soon it will be coming for him.
