I've been making music for a few years now (I'm a showbiz 21!). My career for me really started with the band Shooter and the song 'Life's A Bitch' which many of you still get in touch with me about, and which did ok in the States. Came home from America and took some time to decide what I wanted to do next - started listening to the artists like the Rapture, Gary Numan, and Goldfrapp (amongst others). Started hanging out in Electroclash clubs like Trash and Nag Nag Nag and began to get excited by music again. Began working with various writers and musicians and eventually formed Portobella with Nick Clow and Michael Gray - a nu wave/post punk project that to date has had critical success with songs like 'Covered in Punk' and 'Viva La Difference'. Appeared in MTV series Breaking Point which turned out to be a massive anti-climax. Finished Portobella album and then sat around for a few months waiting for something to happen - nothing did for a while check out www.myspace.com/portobellauk. I then set out to form a new music company - Blah Blah Music - with my writing partner Nick Clow and began to concentrate on writing and performing toplines for other artists. Our first success was with Martijn Ten Velden's 'I Wish You Would' and then of course with Bodyrox and 'Yeah Yeah', which reached number 2 in the UK National charts and for which we were nominated for an Ivor novello award. We have since released "Bigger Than Big" with Supermal (which reached no 19 in the UK national charts), recordedthe fantastic What Planet You On with Bodyrox and have written for other artist such as Kylie, Mark Knight and the Sugarbabes. Other things in the pipeline include a collaboration with Fedde Le Grande and both Nick and I featuring on the New Max Linen hot track "Saturday Night Sunday Morning". Most recently I am very happy to say that I have resigned to Island Records and will be releasing an album in the Autumn which is already sounding wonderful.... only problem so far being that we have too many tracks!Love photography and started taking it seriously a year ago. Formed Shooter (the photo/styling partnership) with David Burgoyne. Have been commissioned so far by Michael Gray, Shena, Bodyrox, Koolwah amongst others. Really exciting to be part of this.
