my name is Dastardly Aka Piewan, Aka McBride, from Corby in the midlands of the U.K, i have been producing for about 7 years with learning curves being the fruits of that labour in the genre of which i’m acustomed to Drum And Bass. it all started with the rave scene back in in the early 90’s with DJ’s such as mickey finn, grooverider, slipmatt and carl cox, the music then split 3 ways techno, happy hardcore and jungle. there was a place neer Bedford called Milwaukees.( this place was for the midlands like the hacienda was to manchester. i loved this place so much that i started m,c’ing just to get in for nothing , i thought i was rubbish but other people (mc juiceman) thought otherwise and it boosted my confidence. when at that time became interested in the production side of things messing about on the fat controllers dj 70 workstation , then milwaukees fisled out and i moved to scotland for a while in 97 . still interested in the music did a couple of events in glasgow and edinborough mc ’ing but.missed ma friends and family so moved back to Corby .in 99 . music the took a back seat as life takes over agency job after agency job , bills have to get payed. then came for me the best invention ever music for the plastation, good for any young producer being cheap as chips and if ya can make a tune with that ya must have some talent.got better job and cause my parents moved to houston in america bought myself a computer for emails , had a friend who upgrades computers for business’s who showed me how to fix it when it went wrong . i then saved for about six months and finaly got my hands on Cubase Sx and started on my first tune shake it baby for my album Learning Curves 2 albums later here we are. i have 5 or six works of art nearing completion and coming soon on Coologik records who are one of the hottest DnB labels to spring up in 2007.
