Songwriter / Producer / Recording Artist

About Me

Started life as a singer songwriter in the UK. Sang for many chart topping artists from Boybands to R&B acts and eventually released my first solo album under the name "Blood" in 1999 - My own stuff is a mix of the sounds that have influenced me while growing up in London during the 80's. I have been planning for a while now to release a follow up album through with my good friends Oyster Music but its been so hectic with production work I am still not sure when this will happen!I have featured on a few dance hits including the classic "I Love America" by Full Intention which was a number 1 hit in many territories around the world. My next featured release is with Max Linen and "Neon Lights" out on Phonetic records in the Summer. In 2005 I formed Portobella with Michael Gray and Luciana Caporaso, a new wave project which formed from the fun we had at clubs like Nag Nag Nag and Trash in London. Released a few tracks to critical praise on Island records including "Covered In Punk" and "Viva La Difference" which were heavily featured in the MTV series "Breaking Point". To be honest we were probably a bit ahead of what was going on at the time and we didn't fulfill our potential.I work much more nowadays as a writer producer, co-writing and vocally producing tracks with my writing partner Luciana Caporaso. We were recently nominated for an Ivor Novello award for the topline we provided for Bodyrox's "Yeah Yeah" (which reached number 2 in the UK national charts). Meanwhile our music company, "Blah Blah Music", has provided toplines for Martijn Ten Veldens' "I Wish You Would", Mark Knights "Party Animal" and Supermal's "Bigger Than Big" - (all featuring Luciana on vocals). Our most recent success has been our collaboration with Taio Cruz and "Come On Girl" which reached no.5 in the UK charts (again featuring Luciana).Following on from that we have a few new artists in production, some very exciting colaborations, notably with Fedde Le Grande and another wicked track with Bodyrox, while we continue to write and produce Luciana's solo material. We have also recently released the "featuring Luciana" album- a mixed compilation of some of the best dance tracks we have collaborated on over the past 18 months plus a few unreleased gems. Its Mixed by Rob Roar from Ministry Of Sound radio and is a chance for us to draw a line under this phase of Luci's career as her solo stuff is definitely going to be very different and not what you might expect. The featuring Luciana album is only available as a digital release so use the link on my page to download it or go directly to Itunes.Aside from this you may have seen me singing and getting up to mischief on tour with the Pet Shop Boys which, as you can imagine, is an amazing experience and lot of fun..maybe I'll see you at one of their shows....
