On The Road Records has been doing it's thing since the year 2004. We release music, it's what we do. So far we've released music by ejectorseat, thecartwheelclub, Cousin Luke, Mybe and 3dbsdown. Coming up are more releases by Ejectorseat, a single by Traps and something with Rosalita later in the year
What have we achieved?
We don't mean to toot our own horns, but, we like to think OTR has achieved a decent amount considering it is a very small operation. We've had our artists played on most of the big national radio stations (radio1, radio2, radio6, xfm, kerrang etc) and had our artists on the pages of a decent amount of magazines (kerrang, rock sound, the fly, total guitar, big cheese etc) and had them digitally transmitted to your eyes and ears on literally hundreds of web pages.
So yeah... I think we, for the most part, contribute to forwarding the careers of the artists we work with.
What do we like?
We like the sort of tunes which make you move without realising, a foot tap or finger drumming - something which rocks, but doesn't have to be rock. Think "Laid" by James but also "Whatever" by Oasis, whilst still being "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams - song which kick ass - music like that is always gonna be a winner. So basically your music should be shit hot and make us move. I suppose that's it really, there is no particular genre - though as you may notice this sort of music, for us at least, seems to be guitar lead bands... who knows, one day this may change.
What are we looking to do next?
Well, as mentioned above, we've got releases coming up with ejectorseat, Traps and Rosalita. We're looking at putting out some split 7" to help some bands up their profile. We're also looking for bands to release on a digital scale whilst pushing them nationally until they are ready for proper releases, stuff which might not be a full record deal - but will still benefit the band. We ARE actively looking for bands at the moment, so Message Us - if we don't reply then I'm afraid we're not interested, we'll try to reply anyway though.
Think you've got what it takes? I mean REALLY believe you have something useful to offer us... then send us a message, tell us what you have to offer, why we should be interested, what you've had happening etc.
So... YOU! the chappy who ignored all of the above cos you're one of the few MySpace users who add us who isn't in a band. How do you keep informed of what's happening at OTR?
You should sign up to our newsletter is what you should do, and we'll keep you informed that way. How do I do that? I hear you scream. Well, you simply put your email in the box below, and click 'Submit'.
