Sidelined -recording-

Sidelined was originally formed way back in 2002 in the southern city of Portsmouth. The band went through many changes of both style and members but still keeping the main metal feel to the band. The band was originally formed by drummer Ali and then years down the line after many changes of both style and member new vocalist Barn joined the band but only would appear in a couple of songs and be more of a second vocalist. Some months later Barn was then the lead vocalist for the band expressing his feelings towards war and other serious matters in the world today. With the later addition of a new guitarist (Oli) and a new bassist (Jim) the band took on a more hardcore metal feel mixed in with some funk from the bass.
We as a band now focuses on the hardcore rapping metal sides of things with the occasional regae track. The band has been influenced from the likes of Korn, Killswitch and (hed) pe to name a few and has the drive and motivation to progress their work much further this year with much planned for the year ahead. Alone with the new style of music being produced with the addition on Barn a more political side to things have been drawn in exploiting what has been hid from us since we were born. With all the shit going on in the world these days music is the best way to exploit the fucking shit that we aren’t suppose to know.
As Barn said “its not the world that’s fucking up its just the fuckers in it”
This year we plan on showing the whole fucking place that emo is fucking dead and can get the fuck out! We got recordings of our demo to come up and into the world by the middle of the year which will be followed by many gigs in and around Portsmouth showing everyone what we are made of.
We would just like to thank all the people that have already supported us this year the band appreciates that more than anything and we hope to see you all later this year.

Barney or Road Kill: Second vocals. Sidelined was the first band I joined and settled in to things immediately. I think the band is created with some fucking class acts and are all together like a family.
In the band iv been trying to exploit the fucking stuff that you don’t see on regular news or any crap like that and fitting into the hardcore stuff the band have going on here .
I think there is a bright future for sure with this band and am proud to be apart of it.

Allister: The names Alio, also known as Twat. I have been playing the drums for almost 8 years now, and have been in sidelined since we was wearing pampers.
In my opinion, sidelined is one of the greatest things that has happened in my life, and I can see great things happening with this band and with our new line up.

Ollie-My name is oli and ive been playing guitar since the tender age of around 12. Playing in many local bands ive never really found the energy from a band. In late janurary 08 i joined Sidelined a local Hardcore band. This band has to much energy and feeling.. Also great bunch of lads
Jim: also known as toovey Iv been playing bass for almost six years and love performing music when i first met up with the band i just felt calm and relaxed and i am know in one of the best bands iv ever heard. so i hope to see you at our gigs.
