Vince Lee is frontman of The Big Combo - A versatile singer and guitarist with long-time rhythm section buddies, Al Wallis on bass guitar and drummer Keith Russell. Vince and the band have been performing their style of swinging West Coast rhythm and blues and roots music at venues and festivals since 1996. Their choice of material ranges from the classic blues and hot swing of the 20's and 30's through to 40's and 50's blues.
Vince has played countless shows around the UK and Europe appearing at many major blues festivals. He has recorded two sessions for the Paul Jones Blues Show on Radio Two and released The Big Combo's debut album "Call it What Ya Wanna!" in February 2003. The 16 track CD is a collection of songs from The Big Combo's live set recorded at PMC Studios in the bands hometown, Plymouth.
In 2003 Vince and Al joined ex-Nightporters members, Martin Vowles (Guitar) and Kevin Crowe (Drums) to form The Wildcards. An exciting new band with their sights set on the European blues and roots circuit. Since February 2004 the Wildcards have been making their presence felt on the European blues and roots circuit, recently touring Europe as Gary Primich's road band.
