About Me

Despite having English first and last names I was born in Rome and have spent my entire life living and working in Italy. My typically un-Italian name comes from the fact that my father was an allied British soldier during World War II who liberated Italy from the fascist regime in 1944. It was while stationed in Italy that he met and married an Italian lady... I started to get interested in the acting world while I was a teenager at College, I would take jobs working as an extra in films and commercials to make extra money and it was while playing in a rock band, with long time friend and fellow actor Tomas Milian, at a Roman nightclub that I was first spotted by an acting agent who offered me my first part in a movie. From 1967 onwards film acting took a forefront, though I would still take a keen interest in my music and would go on to sing the title tracks to a lot of the films I starred in. Guilio Questi's ‘Django Kill' (aka ‘Se sei vivo spara') (1967) was my first major film but it wasn't until I made ‘Bandits of Milan (aka ‘Banditi a Milano') (1968) for Carlo Lizzani that I really got the acting bug, the film was a big success...Get Your Own! | View Slideshow
