About Me

This pic was taken on Radhastami 2006. I haven't got around to jazzing up my profile but here's the deal:

I'm a (Britindian) Gaudiya Vaishnava, which means that I subscribe to the system of religion and philosophy founded by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534) in India. I like to bury my nose in the texts of this tradition and learn a few things about life here and in the beyond. I'm not a fanatic and I don't go around bashing people on the head with a Bhagavad-gita, but it's nice to be able to contemplate on the deeper things in life sometimes rather than be caught up with the rest in a never-ending whirlpool of fashionable mediocrity. Yep, I'm a deep thinker!

My Interests

Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Vedanta.

I'd like to meet:

Good devotees with good and sincere hearts. Just hanging with my friends down in Watford.

Music:

Bhajans and kirtans of course! And also Veda-chanting.

Mahaprabhu's Beautiful Lotus Feet

When You Point A Finger..

Yes, we've all heard this little story before: When you point a finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing right back at you. Ergo, be mindful of what/who you're pointing at and refrain from ...

"May Our Family Increase"

I was going through CB Madhya-khanda today, the chapter describing Sri Gaurahari's return to Navadvipa from Gaya after receiving diksha from Sri Ishvara Puripada. As Mahaprabhu recounts the basic deta...
