About Me

I am Cherokee and Scot-Irish. I am proud of both because it makes me who I am today. I am proud Eastern Band Cherokee and very interested in Native American causes. I love history especially Native American and US History (which isn't protrayed accurately in most history books). I am very interested in cleaning up and restoring cemetaries because cemetaries are sacred places and need to be respected. It's funny because when I visit Cherokee, NC, I feel like I belong there, like I'm home (always have since I was little and my grandfather always stopped there on the way to visit family in Tennessee). I remember crying everytime we left because I didn't want to go. I remember one Indian girl name LaCinda that was dressed in native dress who I would always visit with when I was there and she always said I was her sister. I wish I could meet her again someday. She would be somewhere around 48-50 yrs old if anybody knows of a LaCinda from Cherokee, NC. When I find the picture of us, I will post it (I was about 5 or 6 yrs old at the time). I spend my time learning the ancient ways of our people and learning the language (which doesn't come easy to a 45 yr old with Fibro Fog but I'm trying). Always remember: Ho! Mitakuye Oyasin - which means- "We Are All Related" "..
