Music, poetry, gardening... nature and the environment. Through my wonderful friends in myspace, particularly STLMEL, Mabel Klix, and Marina, I have learned the therapeutic value of photography. Inspired by them I recently started to take pictures. I have still much to learn, but at least I am enjoying myself doing it, capturing my world, and expressing myself that way. If you like the picture below, you may enjoy the pictures in my blog. Thanks for visiting me!---------------------------------------------------------
“To be like a river that flows
silent through the night,
not fearing the darkness and
reflecting any stars high in the sky.And if the sky is filled with clouds,
the clouds are water like the river, so
without remorse reflect them too
in the calm deep.â€

I Want to Know You
......... By Oriah Mountain Dreamer (an Indian Elder)------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your life's longing. //It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. //It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have been shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. //I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. //I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human. //It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself, if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray you own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy. //I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty everyday, and if you can source your life from God's presence. I want to know if you can live with the failure, yours or mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes'! //It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children. //It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back. //It doesn't interest interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

"And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit" -Kahlil Gibran
One of the most beautiful lyrics out there: Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell (see my blog for lyrics). ____________________________________________________________ ______________________________Another beautiful song: Washing of the water by Peter Gabriel (thanks Marina for sharing it with me)- see blog for lyrics and video_______________________________________________________ ______________________________ And for those of you who still believe in love... this is a beautiful song... (you'll have to stop Gift Wrap).. width="425" height="350" ..
Despite everything, I still love romantic movies, what can I say? For example, Moulin Rouge, Jerry Maguire, The American President, Kate and Leopold, City of Angels (well, actually, I like more the soundtrack than the story in the latter). And yes, I cry in the movies too... such a fool!

________"You will never be happy if you keep searching for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you keep looking for the meaning of life without living it."-Albert Camus
"So it is that every person you meet, each soul who crosses your path and affects you - wonderfully and terribly, briefly or for a lifetime - is here for that reason, and every relationship you engage in is but a small scene in a vast, ever-unfolding human panoply that is being endlessly enacted for the purpose of your soul's development. When you recognize this, you will suddenly, breathtakingly see that each person has been brought to you with a high and elegant purpose, that each soul has come to touch your soul and teach it, that each relationship exists to hasten your own soul's beautiful awakening. No longer is anyone a stranger; no longer can any of your relationships be seen as failures or mistakes." -Daphne Rose Kingma
