I have discovered the joy of painting in 2002 and it became such a passion, that since time I cannot stop with painting.At first I painted with watercolors and wanted to learn all about them, then I tried my hands at oils and I am trying to learn again all, what is possible.I enjoy both mediums now. Of course there is still so much to learn, but it is my passion, a great challenge.I have a great passion for nature and her beauty and try to capture this in my paintings. The sunshine, the shadows, the light and the glittering of a raindrop I find most captivating. I love it when people tell me that when they view my paintings they can smell the flowers, feel the velvet of the rose-petals, and have the feeling of standing in a garden.My goal is to paint in a romantic realism.A very special love are rose paintings and the most of my painted roses are also growing all in my garden. So I have enough opportunities to study and oberservate them. Another challenge is figurative work and portraits. I love to do portraits from time to time, figurative work, still lifes or pet- and horses portraits.
Postcard Paintings are also one of my favorites.
I also take commissions. If you like what I am doing, please simple contact me through my website.I live together with my family (husband and two small kids) in the south-west of Germany in a small village in the Ahr-Valley. The Ahr-Valley is part of the Eifel-mountain which is a very beautiful region indeed. It should be mentioned in this context that the world-famous NÃ¼rburgring, where the European Grand Prix d'Automobiles and other international motorsport-events take place, is not far from here.
