TIMESTORM BIOGRAPHY:
The band was born in Rome in the spring of 1997 by Faber Troy (lead guitar), Meker (drums) and Majo (guitar, voice) tree schoolmates led by the common desire to play modern power metal influenced by progressive elements.
Based on this, as the line up was completed with the entry of Valda (keyboards), A. Black (bass) and Pino (lead vocals), Timestorm soon started rehearsing to write new stuff. Afterwards, they decided to record their first promo-cd at the “Temple of Noise” studios with Christian Ice as co-producer. The result of the work done in studio is a 5 tx promo with powerful, melodic and evocative songs . In order to give their songs the right atmosphere, Timestorm uses an additional voice (Majo) whenever necessary.
Looking for a record deal across Europe, in december 1998 they signed for the Italian label “Elevate Records” a division of “99th Floor” distribution company. The same label has already released the new sensation bands of Italian power metal DGM, SECRET SPHERE as well as other bands. The band wrote the songs for the debut album and entered “LEGEND digital Studios” of Rome in summer '99 with Mauro Matteucci as producer. The result of a month recording session is “Shades of Unconsciousness”, a very interesting work made of 9 songs, featuring DGM guitarist Diego Reali as guest on 3 solos. The album offers powerful, symphonic and epic, but still progressive, songs with melodic choruses. Nevertheless, it features acoustic moments, too.
The band released their debut CD on april 2000, entitled SHADES OF UNCONSCIOUSNESS which is generally agreed to be a cult masterpiece in its genre.
Since 2003 to 2006, Timestorm members are featered and played in other projects and bands like: Windrow, M’n’M, Dragonhammer and Multiversum.
At present, TIMESTORM is strong and still alive and ready to come back to write a new album in 2008.
