About Me

LUVPLANET @ THE MYSTIC THEATRE PETALUMA, CA - "LUCKY ONE"
LUVPLANET @ THE MYSTIC THEATRE PETALUMA, CA - "MORE THAN I DO"
I discovered how cool a bass player could be while listening to KISS Destroyer for the first time. Songs like Detroit Rock City & God of Thunder blew my mind! Not long after that first listen, I started learning how to play. It started out with a laundry list of bands that I either formed with my brother Randy or that I later joined on my own after his interest began wandering towards cars and girls (not necessarily in that order either!).
Bands with names like REALM, LEGEND, HALF BREED, JARB (yeah, I know...lame name but good gigs) and SOLITUDE are the groups that I cut my early musical teeth on. To this point, those bands mostly played cover tunes with an original or two thrown into the mix.
The next series of bands I played with started me on a leg of this wild ride that forged me into the musician I am today. As I traveled through this time and these bands, I was blessed to have worked with, shared the stage with, written songs with and become friends with some of the most amazing players and absolute crazy characters one could ever have the fortune to have known.
SILVER HAMMER, SYNCHRO, VILLAIN, ATTICA, SOULDOG, VICIOUS RUMORS, RUFFIANS and now LUVPLANET are the ones that helped me discover the player that was residing inside this soul of mine. Partnering with players such as Mark McGee, Carl Albert, Greg E. Noll, Michael "Fro" Frowein, Tommy McClendon (Atomik Tommy M), Dave Candelaria and Dan Cunningham, Geoff Thorpe, Steve Smyth, Rick Steele and even jumping a generation to play a few shows with Keven Albert (Carl's son for those of you who didn't know)!
With VILLAIN, I was able to record and release my first album. Yes, I say album because at that time (1986) it was all about vinyl. This original recording ONLY TIME WILL TELL, is now one of the most sought after vinyl's of its genre at times fetching prices of $500 or more. I've actually found a copy of this disc at a music shop in Germany with a price tag of 1500.00 Euros! I accept that I'm getting older but it's strange to be a collector's item...
With VICIOUS RUMORS, I reached the ultimate goal that I feel all young musicians strive for. I recorded three studio discs: Word Of Mouth, Something Burning & Cyberchrist and a one live disc: A Tribute To Carl Albert, toured 18 countries and performed for thousands upon thousands of fans. During this time, I produced and edited ..Vicious Rumors: The First Ten Years.. a 75 minute video showcasing the bands live performances, interviews & the four MTV videos of their first 10 years as a band. Rough in quality but cool in content. In 2005 I was invited to travel to Europe once again with VR to perform at 2 festivals: TRADATE IRON FEST in Northern Italy playing on the bill with bands such as Axel Rudi Pell, Pink Cream 69, Gotthard, Riot, Rage, Jon Oliva, Saxon and Dio. 2 weeks later we played at the now legendary BANG YOUR HEAD Festival in Balingen Germany; this time on the bill with Nevermore, Axel Rudi Pell, Sebastian Bach, Dio, Twisted Sister, Doro, U.D.O., Saxon, and Motorhead. It was great to play for European fans once again! European music fans know true dedication for the music they love.
Not long after that I was invited to rehearse with RUFFIANS to take another quick tour of Europe in October and November of 2005 completing the quick jaunt with a supporting slot at Germany's KEEP IT TRUE Festival. Once home we went into the studio to record the tracks that became Desert of Tears, which is receiving rave reviews all around the globe.
LATEST NEWS! I've just joined my long time friend Greg E. Noll and completed bass tracks for his up-coming debut solo release called: Slow Motion Hurricane! This disc is gonna blow some Power Metal Minds!!
My association with VR led to becoming great friends with Mark McGee who, in August of 2003, contacted me about performing with LUVPLANET which in the 30 years of being within music, is by far the most musically as well as personally satisfying experience I..ve known. We have recorded and released State of Mind which, I have to say is by far the most satisfying accomplishment I have achieved musically. The tracks on this CD weave incredible stories both musically and vocally and I..m beyond proud to be a part of this band. I am looking forward to many, many years of sharing LUV MUSIC with the PLANET!LUVPLANET ~ 2006 ~ SCOTT - TOMMY - NICOLE - MARK You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !Myspace Contact Tables
