St. John's Blvd

"Going places. Doing things. Asking Questions."

About Me

Created with mySpace Profile EditorIt started with 3 brothers. The music was a product of basement improv- pretending to be Scofield, Chambers, and Wooten. -Sometimes Buckley, Colaiuta, and Jamerson. Constant writing. Some arguing. Always ECC 4:12.Later the opportunity to record at Bridge Studios came. A demo evolved into an album. St Johns Blvd became the name of the effort and the vibe. The brothers started playing out all over the place. Then a bunch of stuff happened. When the princess appeared she was singing with her own group. What started as a side project with St Johns Blvd eventually became a wedding. The band that was just brothers became a new family.Stuff is still happening. Life is good.

Sounds Like: The soundtrack to a heist movie. Cool entrance music. Motivational meditations for food competition champions. It is the rubber soul on the metaphorical foot in the phrase "kick out the jams". The [good feel] [feel good] music that promotes movement and other positive effects of the neck and butt. St Johns Blvd is the music that helps you drive better while singing. If this music were a taste, it would be butter. Funk butter. If this music were an animal it would be Hong Kong Phooey. If this music were a major kitchen appliance, it might be either the Thunderstick or the really big knife in the oversized jar. If this music were a color it would be funk butter. Please take some time to listen to the selections above. Turn down the lights and sway a little bit. Go ahead, stand up. That's right... yeah! Now get into it... oooh yea. Lookin' good. Real good. Lick your lips- do you taste that? That's funk butter produced naturally through listening absorption. You're welcome.
