Jam-Lab

About Me

Jam-Lab is a jam-based jazz-fusion electric trio out of Kalamazoo and Three Rivers, MI. Jam-Lab plays original music and interpretations of songs by artists including John Scofield, Bela Fleck, Victor Wooten, Sting, The Greyboy Allstars, and others. The band features John Austin (6-string electric bass), Jim Carr (electric guitar), and Mike Curtis (electronic and acoustic drums, percussion), each having 15 years or more of live music experience playing everything from funk to jazz and heavy rock to country. Jam Lab melds together these wide musical influences, many of which emerge during a single song, to form its own dynamic groove and unique style that captivates audiences in a wide range of venues.
