EP Reviews
"After the Fall is an album that only Amy Clarke could create...
every one of the tracks is a bona fide masterpiece. The singer-songwriter pays tribute to strong, independent women and the men and women who love them, reinforcing the need for love, equality, and tolerance for all. And while promoting these causes, she makes music that sounds really, really wondrous..."

MAAT Music references the Egyptian goddess of justice, healing and balance - reflecting Amy's passions for world cultures, social & political activism, and modern day spirituality. Born to two teachers (father: mathematics & self-taught classical pianist, mother: english & history) in Silver Spring, Maryland, Amy was playing songs by age 3, trained to be a classical concert pianist, then won several vocal arts & music competitions before graduating on scholarship from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service with a Lifetime Membership in the M&B Dramatic Society after spending many nights shaping her own music on grand pianos in the haunting acoustics of historic campus chapels. She performed at the Studio Theatre, Warehouse Theater, H Street Playhouse, Art-O-Matic, & other professional stages, clubs & private house parties in Washington, DC before moving to New York City to further her artistic development. While performing frequently on the downtown NYC scene, Amy completed a certificate in Electronic Music Production from the School of Audio Engineering Institute of Technology and studied voice with Dana Calitri and Cari Cole before relocating to Los Angeles, making frequent visits the East Coast.
"A gifted musician with a lovely voice" - The Eclectic Collection: A Celebration of Women in Music
"When I first heard Amy sing 'From Here', I knew that she had arrived! It's brilliantly crafted, with a tag and melody that haunt you...The story draws you in immediately, gets to the tagline effortlessly at the end of each chorus, yet means something new each time...Amy has come into her own, with vocal stylings and dynamics that hold back just enough to keep you hanging on every word. This song has a very appropriate title, because to me, it defines a new phase of Amy as an artist, starting right 'From Here'." - Lorraine Ferro, Multi-Platinum Winning Songwriter, Songwriters Hall of Fame, National Academy of Popular Music
"Magnificent singer/songwriter/keyboardist" - Peter Quinones, Editor, Alternative World Fanzine
"A wicked piano player and fantastic songwriter" - Drew Brody, Baskethouse, M-Lab
